HOSPITAL POLICIES

  • For your pet’s protection, all animals which are hospitalized, boarded, or being groomed must have current vaccines appropriate for the species.
  • Visiting hospitalized patients can be arranged, but not encouraged. Your visit can cause your pet to become overly excited, then depressed on your departure. Such a visit is often unfair to the animal and potentially harmful to its health. We realize this is the opposite of what you want to happen after a visiting to “cheer up” your hospitalized pet.
  • When entering the hospital, please keep your pet on a leash, in a pet carrier, or in a cage for its security.
  • It is always important to phone us before you arrive to pick up your pet to insure that it is ready for release.
  • Be sure to give all medications as instructed and as written on the dispensing vial or bottle.
  • We never want you to leave one of our veterinary facilities until all your questions and concerns have been addressed. If you have unanswered questions, please let us know.
  • We also have a policy of calling pet owners the day after releasing the patient after an outpatient visit, hospitalization, or surgery.

OFFICE VISITS AND FEES

Our hospital is run on an appointment system. By working this way we allow for more effective time for examinations, consultations, surgeries, and treatment of hospitalized patients. By calling in advance for your appointment, we allow liberal time to examine your pet, evaluate its problems, and answer your questions.

If you need to cancel a previously scheduled appointment of surgery, please call us 24 hours in advance. With your cooperation we can then use that time to see someone else’s pet.

At Orange Grove Animal Hospital, we feel an obligation to provide you and your pet with the most progressive diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical services we can offer. To do so we must employ an exceptional professional and technical staff and maintain a modern and well-equipped facility. Our fees are, out of necessity, structured to support this level of service.

We have no desire to extend anyone beyond their means or their intentions. Please feel free to discuss the anticipated costs of diagnostic work-ups, treatment, or surgery with the veterinarian or staff.

A deposit is required when pets are left at the hospital. All accounts must be paid in full before your pet can be discharged. For your convenience we will accept MasterCard, Visa. Discover and Care Credit.

COMMUNICATION

Good communication is an absolute necessity in the Hospital-Veterinarian-Client relationship. Please notify us of any questions, concerns, or comments that you may have. We appreciate constructive observations and suggestions that help us improve our services to you and your pet.
